Rolling Over All Weekend Memes

Photo Journalising all Weekend Memes and talk about hitting a flock of Birds in one Stone. The shepherd boy, David, did not do that! He did it one on one with Goliath. Believe me, this is a mammoth task to do  much to my enjoyment because I am the most patient blogger in the world, perhaps.

Our Weekend Memoirs

In the last post of OWM, I promised that this is going to be my next post as a sequel after dining a scrumptious barbecue lunch . Anyway, our group are now heading for a bushwalk ...

Aquatic Scenic Sunday #101

Scenic Sunday

My Scenic Sunday Participation (in a long, long time.)

MY BIGGEST APOLOGY AND THANKS TO ANN FOR BRINGING THIS TO MY ATTENTION:
As it happens after conducting a thorough check, yes, indeed this is a Postcard. I could not remember how I took this photo for I have literally thousands of pictures I took of the Opera House. I could not upload pictures direct here, so I went to my old files in photobucket and had been overwhelmed with so many, I pulled this out of the blue. To compensate my mistake, please find below a new Sydney Opera House taken last June 28, 2009, the day my daughter got married. As the mother of the bride, my little friend Toby, offered me this photo to use as a breaker - to save my Red Face. Oh, this is horrible. Hope I am forgiven.

Photobucket

I never get tired of the famous Sydney Opera House and the Harbour. Thank you J Bar for reminding me.

HERE YOU GO! I AM HONESTLY EMBARRASSED. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED. Enjoy!!!

Weekend Reflections #39 and Shadow Shot Sunday #109

Sarah Ban Breathnach:
Only when the clamor of the outside world is silenced will you be able to hear the deeper vibration. Listen carefully.

My entry for Weekend Reflections by James of Newtown Photo Area.

"Harriet's art themed musings; random off-track incidentals...and Shadow Shot Sunday. Every Sunday."~The Pride of Australia.

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

A long day trip to the Northeast and held by the red traffic light (Stop) I took my camera in haste and spied that reflection above from the glass window of a bus. The traffic loosened in the intersection of this road somewhere in Liverpool, and didn't expect the shadow to appear in this photo. So it's good!

May you take time to reflect and ponder upon your shadow.

Cheers!

Nocturne - Summer Twilight - SWF

My SWF on this new meme blog

Thanks to our Host Klaus and his energetic team: Sandy, Sylvia, Wren, Fishing Guy and ...Louise. Look UP!

This post is bit untimely as we are into the winter, yet, these were taken long ago on a Summer Twilight over  Parkway Avenue, Quakers Hill as soon as I alighted from the bus. This dreamy scenario of the northwestern sky held my breath and my eyes were transfixed into its blue and white strands of clouds as carefully brushed into the canvas by an artist. Then I heard some music played on the air - Nocturne by Chopin - of course, it was only my imagination playing.

Cheers!

Wednesday Smorgasbord Served in Alpaca Farm

Join Watery Wednesday for some fun!

Please don't miss this out. Something to chuckle for.
“There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes his whole universe for a vast practical joke”
Herman Melville  (American short-story Writer, Novelist and Poet. Best known for his novels of the sea, including his masterpiece, Moby Dick. 1819-1891)

At the slight turn of my back, this brown one quickly turned around and triumphantly showed off his Watery Wednesday butt. That naughty unromantic guy.

“Thoughts mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire are powerful things.”

Ann, the owner, kisses this romantic fellow. Alpacas are social animals, very affectionate and can be treated like pets.

“Among the many thousands of things that I have never been able to understand, one in particular stands out. That is the question of who was the first person who stood by a pile of sand and said, "You know, I bet if we took some of this and mixed it with a little potash and heated it, we could make a material that would be solid and yet transparent. We could call it glass." Call me obtuse, but you could stand me on a beach till the end of time and never would it occur to me to try to make it into windows.”

Window wider than a cinema's screen, looking inside out. A part of Ann and Cameron's vast expanse of their property.

A World of their Own

Thank You Klaus and your dynamic team: Sandy, Louise, Wren, The Fishing Guy and Sylvia.

More to see in My World Tuesday.

One beautiful green summer day, I was invited to go for a drive to Crookwell. Not just a drive; we spent the night over there. It was a very very cold night - near freezing - up on the tableland.

After a big breakfast, we drove around town and came to say hello to these good guys. These are Alpacas belonging to a camelid family.

Meanwhile, here's another world, a different world thriving in contrast. Inanimate ... and not out among with nature.
