More to see in My World Tuesday.

The Oval

RSL Club

Near this club may be which is only a walking distance from where I live, but ironically, it was only yesterday that I finally was able to get inside the premise to meet up with friends whom I did not see in a long time. Here, we enjoyed a scrumptious Smorgasbord lunch together.

Looking at the food gathered, untouched, unconsumed that went to the waste bin, I winced thinking of those who are suffering from hunger and starving to death without anything to eat, and here, no one was showing sign of concern that there is Recession. A place of Abundance and Waste indeed!

The green empty space on top is the local Sports Oval, the hub of schools' and weekend community sports activities: Soccer, Cricket and Rugby.

This is also My

A decor jar I fancied adorned in the club Bistro area.

Cheers!

You are right about the food wasted in places like this, but if you constantly think of everything else that we waste, you'll go crazy.

The fruit jar's funny-looking and cool.

I know what you mean about waste when there are so many without enough. I think about that a lot too.

I agree... some people are not too sensitive of the world around them. they don't care if there are other people who are hungry. i'm not a picky eater and i do love left-over... i can turn it into an entirely new dish just because i don't want it to go in the trash.

What a delightful way of displaying fruit. It has almost a gypsy look.

Beautiful shots. Food is precious and people who can afford it easily, do not realize its value.

it really saddens me to see food getting wasted when there're a lot of people who can't afford to buy the most basic food. the fruit jar is really cool!

Am in accord with you on the food waste. I used to work in a fastfood joint eons of years ago and it pains me to see so many buns and patties go to waste while the street children just outside the joint goes hungry.

Love that fruit jar!

The fruit jar is very attractive!

Yes, we who live in comparatively wealthy countries are indeed wasteful.

I love that glass decorated with fruits inside. A very nice center table display.
